Bubbles Syndicate
Very exciting news! We have half of the syndicate put together and I am very excited about the future we have with Bubbles. Jessica is helping with putting a fundraiser to try and complete the other half of the syndicate; dates will be listed shortly. Bubbles went for his prepurchase exam at Alamo Pintado and it turned out to be fabulous! He is in great condition and looks very sound after a very busy competition schedule the last 6 months.

Bubbles will be going back to work after my return from the USEA Convention. I wanted to thank everyone who has helped with the syndicate and getting it all together. This is really more than I ever imagined it could be.

I'm looking forward to all that 2010 has in store and know I could not do any of it without all of you!

Thank you Bob & Vicki Conway, Connie Bowman and everyone else who has helped with various donations.

Closing the 2009 Season
As we come to an end to an amazing and successful 2009 season it's always fun to look back on the lessons learned and fun times we all experienced........

As the year started, as with every year we never really know what it will bring. I have to say that the entire NLE Team had some amazing success.

We started a few things different in 09. We added an assistant to Tamie, as NLE has grown beyond any of my expectations. We hosted several clinics.

Several students and horses moved up a level, Some competed at North American Young Rider Championships, Groomed at North American Young Rider Championships, competed in their first FEI competitions or traveled out of the state of California for the first time.

NLE traveled to Texas, Louisiana, Kentucky, Arizona, Montana, Colorado, and Michigan, in addition to competing all over California and not only traveled to these places, we kicked some butt in the process.

We fundraised (THANK YOU!), some bought new horses, some gladly sold horses, and most of all we ALL had fun doing it.

Alot of lessons learned..........like Family and School are very important! We have alot to be thankful for including having the friends we have made at NLE.

We also learned alot of LESSONS in our sport that we will never forget.......like:

     * Walk your course! Several times.....and count your numbers!
     * Read your rule book! EVERY YEAR!
     * If there is a mandatory meeting DO NOT leave early.
     * With that said........don't carry a whip in your dressage test while in a training 3 day or FEI competition.
     * Be a good horseman......and always put your horse first.
     * When people waive you off the road......it's not because they are crazy it's because your truck is on fire.
     * If an official stops you on course and says your horse is lame......ask politely for them to keep track of your time and request a vet look at your horse if you do not agree.
     * Talk to your trainer about your competition schedule and make sure you both have a mutual understanding about your goals and plans.
     * Never give up.........even when the odds are against you they just might not be.
     * Your always a role model to someone......even if you don't think you are.
     * Cherish what you have, because you might not always have it.
     * Your mother doesn't mean to be annoying......she just loves you.
     * Take care of your horse.......and your horse will take care of you.
     * Listen to your gut feeling......it's their for a reason.
     * Everything happens for a reason.
     * Have fun doing whatever it is your doing......and if your not having fun, then find something else to do.
     * Sometimes the rails just fall down even if you ride the jump perfectly.....but sometimes they stay up! :)
     * Preventative maintenance is cost effective.

When I started writing this blog......I really wanted to write about each person who is a part of NLE.....and then after 2 hours there wasn't enough room!!!!! At first I was pretty angry......and then I thought.......I'm pretty lucky!

We have an amazing group of people who have made NLE a strong team! And truly that was my goal when I started Next Level Eventing and I have all of you to thank! Some have a small part in our success because of their well wishes and some have a huge part of our success because they are what NLE is all about!

So once again, thank you to all of you who have been an instrumental part of all our success and continued success!

2010 here we come!!!!
